Diabetic Eye Care
Services

It is vital to schedule annual eye exams with an ophthalmologist or optometrist. Indigo Vision Center can help treat any eye conditions or concerns you may have. Diabetic eye exams can include dilating your eyes for a better view of the retina, ensuring the entire eye is healthy. Depending upon the severity of any diabetic-related eye problems, we may request to see you more than once a year.

Glaucoma Treatment
Services

Glaucoma is an eye condition causing optic nerve damage and worsens over time. This condition seems to run in families and often develops at a very early age. Early stages of glaucoma often show no symptoms, so your annual exam is extremely important. Other concerns could be: red eyes, eye irritation, vomiting, upset stomach, vision loss, & severe headaches. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you need to see an optometrist immediately for a professional assessment. We offer the testing and management that you need to prevent glaucoma from severely impacting your vision and overall health.

Cataract Care
Services

Cataracts are a common eye condition that occur when the eye’s normally clear lens becomes cloudy. The lens helps focus light onto the retina, allowing us to see clearly. As a cataract develops, the cloudy lens can interfere with the passage of light through the eye, resulting in blurred or distorted vision, increased glare, difficulty seeing in low-light conditions, or a gradual decrease in overall visual clarity. While cataracts are most commonly associated with the natural aging process, they can also develop as a result of diabetes, eye trauma, certain medications, prolonged sun exposure, and genetic predisposition. Cataracts are extremely common, with approximately 50% of people over the age of 65 developing significant cataracts. Cataract surgery is also one of the most commonly performed procedures worldwide, with more than 2.7 million procedures performed each year in the United States alone.

At Indigo Vision Center, we offer comprehensive eye examinations and specialized testing to detect cataracts, monitor their progression, and help determine the best treatment options for your individual needs. If surgery becomes necessary, we work closely with a trusted ophthalmologist to coordinate your care and ensure you are in experienced hands every step of the way. Following your procedure, you will return to our office for postoperative care, allowing us to support you throughout your recovery and help you maintain your best possible vision.
